![]() ![]() No HD, but a m.2/SSD, so there is room in the left side of the box only for the GPU. ![]() I fear the 400W is not enough for the 3060/70 GPU, so a passive/quiet Seasonic 550w, 650w or 750w psu would fit the bill, depending on how much is needed for the system. I know the system will not be passive cooled, but active and quiet is also a quality. I have looked at the HDPLEX H5 with mini-ITX mobo, ATX psu and PCIe riser card. Both MSI and Asus seem to have some that are low noise. I'll look some more at the tests at 3d guru as they also test noise. However, they appear to be complete unobtanium ATM here in Eur together with any normal priced 30xx card. I wonder if it is easy to change fans on any of the cards from other manufacturers and replace them with quieter aftermarket ones? I have read there is a utility so controlling the GPU fans' speed should be possible. The attachment to the back plate may also have to be adjusted, but as the riser is flexible, it should be okay. I guess if the dark brown thing is removed, it may provide the space needed to fit it. Stock it will not fit, as it is 87,5,mm and the case is 88mm. ![]() On the left can be seen where the GPU will reside but without the passive cooling arrangement.Īlso this ASUS 3070 noctua seems interesting esp with the large fans. The founder edition seem to be rather low noise and two fans so it would likely fit. I don't think any of the cases support that. I have checked the 3d guru tests, but most are three fans. The GPU will likely be a 3060, 3060ti or 3070. As far as I understand, any RTX 30xx will do, as I do not need any more GPU power with the 65" screen. I read on avsforum that madVR has the advantage that it is solely dependent on GPU power. It's some years since I build a new pc, so I'm a bit behind the curve on up to date info. My HTPC is in the hifi cupboard below the tv, so heat and noise are issues as well as the case, as it has to be a horizontal case to fit in. ![]() I use Emby and content resides on a server. So I have decided to go back to a discrete HTPC that can do 4k HDR with madVR. I have gotten a new LG OLED65CX tv som my trusty mac mini with win10 is getting long in the tooth, as it only handles 1080 output. ![]()
